The combination of his legal skills as a highly qualified lawyer and his expertise
as a former Minister of Industry & Trade and Minister of Justice in the Government
of Jordan, finds in our senior partner Sharif Ali Zu’bi a wealth of knowledge and
experience in both the private and public sectors in addition to many leadership
qualities. Whether in the practice areas of privatisation and project finance or,
in the fields of foreign investment and judicial reform, Sharif has become an authority
in all these areas.
While managing Ali Sharif Zu'bi Advocates and Legal Consultants between 1985 and
April 2005, he was directly involved with most of the substantial projects in Jordan.
On the other side of the spectrum, Sharif was instrumental during his ministerial
appointments in updating Jordan's investment laws and initiating a massive overhaul
and upgrade of the country's legal and judicial system.
Sharif is also a frequent speaker in many international conferences and seminars
on foreign investment and judicial reform as well as many other legal issues.

Khaled joined Ali Sharif Zu’bi Advocates & Legal Consultants in April 1992 as an
associate. He became a partner in August 1997 and our firm’s Managing Partner in
April 2005 when Sharif was appointed Minister of Industry & Trade in the Government
of Jordan.
Khaled also heads our firm’s Projects Section. He has acted as lead lawyer on a
variety of financing transactions including the underwriting and syndication of
loans, secured commercial lending transactions, commercial paper and foreign trade
financing transactions in addition to a variety of equity and debt finance transactions. |

Saleh joined our firm as an Advocate Trainee in July 1994. Following his admittance
to the Jordanian Bar in July 1995, Saleh worked as a senior associate until 2004
when he became a partner.
Heading our Corporate/Commercial Section, Saleh’s key qualifications and expertise
are in general practice specializing mainly in real estate investment, banking,
international trade matters and foreign investment.
He has advised foreign and local banks on their day to day operations, and has also
advised individual and corporate clients on a wide range of Jordanian Laws including
the Commercial Law, Investments Law, Companies Law, Commercial Agents and Middlemen
Law, Banking Law, Labour and Social Security Laws. Saleh has also served on the
drafting committees of the Arab Potash Company Concession Law, the Royal Films Commission
Law and Al-Hussein Cancer Institute Law.

Lubna joined our firm as an Advocate Trainee in July 1995. Following her admittance
to the Jordanian Bar in July 1997, Lubna worked as our senior associate until January
2006 when she became a partner.
Lubna’s key qualifications are in general commercial practice specializing mainly
in corporate contracts and issues such as mergers and acquisitions, due diligence
reports, international trade matters, foreign investment, franchise and distributorship
agreements, labor and intellectual property issues.
Lubna has also participated in complex projects such as privatisation of local public
institutions. She has also undertaken extensive legal research for the purpose of
assisting in the drafting of new laws and publishing articles in international legal
journals.
