Goverment signs contract with investor alliance for National Carrier project

We are proud to have represented the consortium led by Meridiam in connection with the multi-billion dollar Aqaba-Amman Water Desalination and Conveyance Project Contract, also known as the National Carrier Project. Our managing partner, Khaled Asfour, partner Jumana Toukan and senior associate Farah Alrefai advised the consortium throughout the bidding and negotiation stages up to the signing of this significant project. As the largest infrastructure initiative and most significant multi-billion dollar public-private partnership (PPP) project in Jordan's history, this transformative undertaking marks a milestone in advancing the nation’s water security and sustainable development goals.

This landmark agreement was formalized this morning between the Government of Jordan, represented by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, and the investor alliance of Meridiam and Suez.
